About the Veterinary Dental Forum

The Veterinary Dental Forum was founded in 1987 for the purpose of advancing the knowledge, education, awareness and skills involved in veterinary dentistry among veterinarians, veterinary technicians, veterinary students, veterinary staff and anyone else with an interest in veterinary dentistry. The Veterinary Dental Forum is hosted by a combination of the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry, the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry and the American Veterinary Dental College. The Veterinary Dental Forum is not only the largest veterinary dental conference but also the longest continually running meeting of its type. The Veterinary Dental Forum strives to provide the best veterinary dental program in the world with the finest lectures and labs from the top experts in the veterinary dental field.

The Veterinary Dental Forum is held each year at a new location to allow regular attendees a chance to see various sites and locations around our great country.  This also provides an opportunity to be educated, entertained, and do some sight-seeing. The Grand Opening Reception of the exhibit hall gives everyone a chance to get to know each other in a more relaxed atmosphere.  In an educational setting, a featured keynote speaker addresses all attendees on a specific topic in veterinary dentistry. In addition, the forum is well known for its annual Fun Run/Walk.

The Veterinary Dental Forum provides an Exhibit Hall containing booths with the most recent texts, instruments, supplies, and activities of dental organizations around the world.

Each year a Review & Assessment Exam is offered for people in veterinary dental training programs to help in their studies.  This is practice for taking the examination for either the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry or the American Veterinary Dental College.

The Veterinary Dental Forum offers many levels of dentistry in an attempt to target the interests and abilities of as many of the attendees as possible.
